Map making exercise. Perivale Gallery on Manitoulin. Wonderful cycling destination, rest and have lunch in the park like setting. And of course visit the gallery!

Spring 2017. In the spirit of Muniz’s Documentary film “Waste Land” I took a walk collecting trash from the ditch for about 1/2 km fronting our place on Manitoulin Island. We are surrounded by water and the ditch along the highway flows into Lake Huron where Whitefish are caught and served in local restaurants.

Fall of 2016, leaves collected during walks on Manitoulin Island. Drawings for 4elements Living Arts, Outside the Box, Drawing Boxes. The idea is to make a drawing while on a hike and leave it in a trail box and take someone else’s drawing.

Fall 2015. This is my favorite acrylic painting. Inspired by a 4e hike on the EBC Oak Savannah. After the hike we met up at the Gore Bay airport to reflect on the experience. After that I did several drawings that developed into this painting.
