This is a painting of a friend in our rural neighbourhood. Emily was the first to stop by to check on us and drop off food when C-19 hit and we have had many visits since. It is in her blood to be helpful, cheerful and sincere. The setting of this painting is in the winter when her hair was covered in icy crystals after skiing.

Really lovely portrait of Emily. Bright and vibrant and poignant, and I dare say, perhaps your most cohesive portrait to date.
Ger, your comments and artistic eye are appreciated. I wasn’t sure if I got a likeness but definitely the eyes are shinning with an Emily glow.
She looks all rosy from cold
She was indeed rosy, interesting that the weather is reflected in this portrait.
